AI and Green Energy Will Impact Nearly 25% Of Global Jobs By 2027

A new report from the World Economic Forum has found that by 2027, nearly a quarter of all current jobs in the workforce will have changed due to the advancement of AI and technology.

The report, entitled “The Future of Jobs Report 2027” surveyed 803 companies and found that these changes will result in the creation of 69 million new jobs, while 83 million positions will be lost over the next four years.

Education, agriculture, and digital commerce are expected to experience the greatest job growth, while AI and machine learning will be the leading job creation fields.

These changes will have a significant impact on 23% of the workforce, either by creating new job opportunities or eliminating existing ones.

“The good news is that there is a clear way forward to ensure resilience,” said Saadia Zahidi, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum. “Governments and businesses must invest in supporting the shift to the jobs of the future through the education, reskilling and social support structures that can ensure individuals are at the heart of the future of work.”
