He also said that a system of ‘hot quotes’ had been introduced to improve productivity – internal salespeople typically issued lots of quotes, but after being run through an AI system those with a 95% probability of success, or higher, were identified, so the sales team’s efforts were targeted to those clients. This is likely to lead to similar models as have been developed with public cloud, with centralised ‘GPU farms’ running thousands of GPUs and offering ‘GPU-as-a-Service’ for those organisations unable to justify their own AI infrastructure.
