In a preliminary assessment of the AI Act, Sam Altman’s creation stresses how the new law constitutes an “important legislative framework” for the development, diffusion and use of AI in Europe, which guarantees the adoption of reliable technology in terms of safeguarding human rights, health, and safety and security. Lastly, OpenAI is looking to “liaise in close contact” with the European AI Office and with other authorities during the implementation of the law, offering its experience to “advance the law’s objectives.
